Terms of Service
1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using ReCapIQ ("Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Service.
2. Description of Service
ReCapIQ is a B2B SaaS platform that:
- Receives Zoom meeting transcripts via webhook
- Processes transcripts using AI to generate summaries, decisions, risks, and action items
- Delivers outputs to your connected task management tools and Slack
- Provides a dashboard to view and manage meeting recaps
3. Account Registration
You must provide accurate and complete information when creating an account. You are responsible for:
- Maintaining the security of your account credentials
- All activities that occur under your account
- Notifying us immediately of any unauthorized access
4. Subscription Plans and Billing
Trial: 30-day free trial with a hard cap of 30 meetings. No credit card required.
Starter Plan: $49/month, 100 meetings per month (hard cap).
Pro Plan: $99/month, unlimited meetings (soft cap at 1,000/month with warnings).
- Billing is monthly and automatic via Stripe
- Usage resets on the first day of each billing cycle
- You can upgrade, downgrade, or cancel at any time
- Refunds are not provided for partial months
5. Usage Limits and Fair Use
You agree to use the Service in accordance with plan limits:
- Trial and Starter plans have hard caps (processing stops when limit is reached)
- Pro plan has a soft cap of 1,000 meetings/month (warnings issued, processing continues)
- Excessive usage beyond reasonable business needs may result in account review
- You may not resell, redistribute, or abuse the Service
6. Data and Privacy
Your use of the Service is governed by our Privacy Policy. Key points:
- Transcripts are processed by OpenAI and optionally retained for 24 hours
- You control transcript retention in your settings
- You own your data and can export or delete it at any time
- We do not sell your data to third parties
7. Third-Party Integrations
The Service integrates with third-party platforms (Zoom, Slack, Notion, Asana, ClickUp, Trello). You are responsible for:
- Complying with each platform's terms of service
- Maintaining valid OAuth connections
- Understanding that we are not responsible for third-party service outages or changes
8. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use the Service for illegal purposes or to violate any laws
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service or other users' accounts
- Interfere with or disrupt the Service or servers
- Upload malicious code, viruses, or harmful content
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract source code
9. Service Availability
We strive for 99.9% uptime but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. We are not liable for:
- Scheduled maintenance or updates
- Third-party service outages (Zoom, OpenAI, Stripe, etc.)
- Force majeure events beyond our control
10. Termination
Either party may terminate this agreement at any time:
- You can cancel your subscription from the Billing page
- We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms
- Upon termination, you may export your data before deletion
- Billing records are retained for tax compliance
11. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, ReCapIQ is not liable for:
- Indirect, incidental, or consequential damages
- Loss of data, profits, or business opportunities
- Errors or inaccuracies in AI-generated outputs
- Third-party service failures or data breaches
Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid in the last 12 months.
12. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms at any time. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance. Material changes will be communicated via email.
